Hello Seattle

On Thursday night I left SFO and headed towards SEA-TAC to begin my much needed long weekend in Seattle. As I arrived at the airport I was a little nervous because it was going to be my first time flying all by myself, but my nerves began to settle once I realized that I was going to be with my BFF Kez in just a couple short hours.

As I was waiting at gate A1A, countless thoughts were running through my head. Since I was by myself there wasn't much for me to do, so I began people watching. An endless flow of questions entered my mind. Questions like:

where are these people going? where are they coming from? are they going to wedding? going to see family? are they looking forward to their trip or dreading it? did they come back a happier person? do they even like airplanes? were they one business or just having a fun weekend away like me?

I finally got on the plane, found my seat 17C, got lucky because nobody sat right by me, and less than two hours later landed in Seattle. And that's when my busy weekend started.

On Thursday night I spent the night at Kez and Hil's house and on Friday I spent the first part of the day with Kez, James and Adelaide. We had some pretty exciting times, like when we couldn't find her keys. That was crazy, and a story all on it's own.

Friday I hung out with Kaite, Summer and Allyn. We got pizza at Spiro's (my favorite pizza place) and just drove around. I've missed those girls.

Saturday I hung out with Amanda and Alex. Looked around at U-Village, went to the Fremont Troll, and looked around the goodwill. We discovered a big spoon and fork there and came to the conclusion that they are exactly like the golden spoon and fork at camp, only they're not gold. Then I stayed the night at Janell's.

Sunday I got sick, went to church, saw everybody but Sam Fowler, and went to the Grindles. Katie, Emily and I got some really good ice cream on Capitol Hill, then we watched The Social Network. Emily and I also tried playing "Beautiful Things" together. It sounded really pretty. I can't wait for our worship team to play it.

On Monday I was still sick so I couldn't really do much, so we just hung out and watched more movies. Then I headed home.

All in all, it was a great weekend, besides me getting sick. I have missed Seattle dearly and was so thankful I could get up there again before camp started. I have no idea where I'm going to be next fall for college, but I really hope that SPU works out so I could be in Seattle again. I don't know if I could go another 4 years without it.

p.s. just in case you love Owl City like me, Adam Young just announced the title of his new CD which should be coming out late spring/summer. It's called "All Things Bright and Beautiful" and I'm so stoked.
