My favorite memory by far is when I went to Africa during the summer of 2008. I was 15 years old and went with my family and about 10 other people from our church. It was definitely the most eye opening experience I've had so far. I fell in love with the people and the culture. They are all so full of life, love and hope, and always have a reason to celebrate, and dancing and singing with them was the one of the best parts of the trip. Since we stayed on the grounds of a school, I was able to make friendships with girls and boys my age. We shared about our lives and learned about each other's country and culture.
The trip taught me how to appreciate what I have, and most importantly how to live life to the fullest. And also, if you ever doubt God's existance, just spend one day and night in Africa and you'll see how powerful he is as you're surrounded by his beautiful and breath-taking creation.
