Here's a little story...
One day, my friends Alex, Amanda, Deryn and I decided to go on a photography adventure to the beach, a favorite past time of ours. Of course when we're having a fun time and cameras are involved, you can pretty much guarantee that a good chunk of our pictures are going to be taken using self-timer... and that's exactly what happened.
For this specific picture we decided that we were going to make a totem pole looking thing. Each at a different level, and each making a different face. Alex was at the bottom, Amanda behind her, me behind Amanda, and then Deryn behind me. But in order for Deryn to be a head taller than me we planned for her to be on my back. So we all get into position, Deryn adjusts the camera, presses the button, and then quickly makes her ways towards me to get on my back. But somehow we lost our balance, Deryn fell down on the rocks, and then I tripped over her leg and joined her on the rocky ground... and the camera captured all of it. Timing could not have been more perfect!
Yes it hurt bad, but it was one of the most epic moments I've ever experienced and I wish so badly that I could have witnessed it or seen it in slow motion. The funniest part to me about this picture, besides our epic fall in the background, is the fact that Amanda and Alex are perfectly calm, still in their poses as if everything is normal. It just puts a smile on my face.
... good times... good times...
